about me
I have over 20 years of experience working with children and young adults with developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses. I enjoy teaching staff and families strategies for preventing challenging behaviors, promoting adaptive skills, and fostering independence. Through these interactive trainings I empower individuals to carry over skills to real world situations. I have worked in a variety of settings including public and private schools, homes, communities, and non-profit organizations. Desk jobs are not for me—I enjoy moving, collaborating with teams, and solving big challenges.

My Story
A couple of years ago I was searching for some inspiration in my professional life. Reflecting back on over 20 years working with a diverse group of children and families I realized how my career has impacted me:

-
I have been taught patience.
-
I have been taught to appreciate all achievements-big AND small.
-
I have been taught to never give up when things aren't going the way you planned and to think outside of the box to find different solutions.
Most importantly, I have been taught that every single person, no matter what their abilities are, deserve to be included in their communities. They deserve to have the same recreational and social opportunities as their peers. I have seen many families isolate their children because they are afraid that the "weird" quirks or challenging behaviors may interfere with them being welcomed into group activities with other peers. This is why I am passionate about helping organizations and businesses find a way to include children and young adults of all abilities into their communities.
